Right now, it's 4:14 AM, and we kids haven't slept yet, because we've been waiting for the storm to hit. We've been looking up a bunch of things, and we watched a video of the tsunami that hit Japan. It was terrible. I just felt very sad to watch that, and I felt bad for all those people that died.
We also looked up Supertyphoon Pongson'a that hit Guam in December, 2002, when we were living there. I don't remember it, because I was only a year old, but my mom says it was really bad.
We looked up and talked about plate tectonics, and I learned that there are continental plates under the ground and the ocean, and they move on top of the mantle, and this forms mountains and is causing the sea to spread apart. We also learned that plates bumping into each other causes earthquakes.
Earlier in the evening, we looked up what the smallest dog breed is, and it's the "teacup" Chihuahua. Teacup isn't a real, technical term, but that's what they call them, because they fit in teacups! :) They are so cute!! My mom really wants one - maybe some day we can get her one for her birthday.
I was kind of afraid that the hurricane was going to hit us, until we started looking up a bunch of things that I wanted to look up, and naming hurricanes is really weird!
Good-bye for now, and I'll write more later, when we get our power back!
The End.
