Saturday 9: Brand New Me

1) It's a brand new year! Do you have any resolutions for 2013? 

I do. I want to finally get started on the Couch-to-5K program, and I want to move out of my comfort zone and work on my JAFRA business more than I have been doing.

2) Dusty Springfield sang of feeling "brand new." What leaves you feeling refreshed and/or rejuvenated? 

Uh. Sleep.

3) Dusty's given name was Mary Catherine. If you could give yourself a brand new first name, what would it be?

I wouldn't. I would give myself a new middle name, though. I hate Ann. I would choose to be Melanie Penelope instead. I love syllables.

4) Actor Billy Bob Thornton has dismissed antiques, saying, "I'm creeped out by old stuff." Do you ever shop at estate sales, yard sales or second-hand stores? Or do you want everything brand new?

I like an eclectic mix of old and new (except produce. I pretty much like fresh produce), with lots of character in whatever it is.

5)  Are you sad to see the holiday decorations slowly disappear until next year? Or do you think they should come down on January 2?

Speaking of January 2^nd, that was our 12^th anniversary. And no, I'm not sad. Once it's over, it's over.

6) Do you like the picture on your photo ID?

It's all right, sure.

7) Crazy Sam shudders at the very thought of a snake. Which is your least favorite member of the Animal Kingdom?

I'm a biologist, so I like it all except when bugs land on me without my express written permission.

8) What's the most recent magazine you flipped through?

A summertime issue of Martha Stewart Living, along with about 20 others right before that. I picked them up off my floor and was looking for unexpired coupons!

9) Do you have nice handwriting?

I fancy that I do, although I have noticed arthritis is starting to take effect on that, too. Bugger.

Thanks for your input, Kim.Alas, that's not the problem. I speptird out all the punctuation, leaving letters only, and got the same result: Ain't Complicated.Maybe I need a different name for this blog!
