So it's Super Doubles week at Harris Teeter again, which means they double coupons up to $1.98. The Littles and I went out while Chloë was at tutoring today, and I got all this for $1.96! It includes two Yakisoba noodle packages, two 8-packs of Lance cracker sandwiches for the kids' lunches, 8 cans of Hunt's tomato sauce, 2 cans of Muir organic tomato paste, Lip Smackers for Chloë, a roll of Bounty paper towels for my PT-lovin' husband, and two Starbucks Frappuccinos, also or Rob. Not a bad deal.
However, the SD week ends today, and I didn't get a chance to go until today, so half the things on my list were completely out of stock. I could have gotten a LOT more stuff for free or super-cheap if I'd planned it right and gone early in the game. For today, the things I missed out on were: 2 free half-gallons of 8th Continent soy milk for the kids, 2 free pkgs of Chinet cups for Bunco night, 4 free bottles of Ken's dressings, 4 free pkgs of Kotex liners (which I would have donated to a woman's shelter), and 2 bottles of Soft Scrub gel cleanser. That's a lot to miss out on!!
So, I'm trying to look on the bright side and be pleased with what I DID manage to get, and forget about what I didn't. The deals will always come and go, and everything will come back around... but once I start subbing (if that EVER happens), when will I have the time, since I struggle with it now??
Eh, whatever. Such is life. And I could always cut back on Farmville. ;)
