Link up here if you're playing along with Crazy Sam today!
1. What's the nicest thing a complete stranger ever did for you?
Sent me an enormous check to finish paying for my college education. Thank you, Mrs. F!!! (She died before I ever got a chance to meet her...)
2. What one thing always speaks deeply to you, to your spirit, no matter your mood or what else is going on in your life?
The ocean. It pulls me, it calls me, it's where I find solace when I need to escape from life for a moment. I think I was a mermaid in another life.
3. How many jobs have you held in your life? How many of those were part of your chosen career field?
Oh, gosh. I don't know, a dozen or so? Two or three of them were in my field, if you count my paid internship at Mote Marine Lab.
4. Of those jobs, how many did you leave voluntarily?
All but one. I worked for Larry's ice cream parlor on St. Pete Beach on the side, and when the owner found out I was going to graduate school in the fall, she fired me. Logical, right?
5. How did you discover Saturday 9? How long have you played?
I'm not sure how long I've played. A year, maybe two? It was probably when I was searching for more memes to do, on a bored night. It's my favorite one, I think!
6. What's the worst beverage you've ever tasted?
Guiness beer. *barf* (Not that it stopped me from drinking the entire pint. But that was in Key West, and, well, that's a whole 'nother post.)
7. Is there anything in life you are "certain" about? Firm in your beliefs? Strong in your convictions?
Of course, I have many strong beliefs and attitudes. Too many to list. I'll share one: people should be nice to each other just for the sake of being nice. Practice random acts of beauty and senseless acts of kindness. Pay it forward. That kind of thing.
8. How did you come up with the title of your blog's posts?
I usually try to make the title relevant to the post (duh) and be amusing, in some way, at least to me!
9. Would you consider yourself a good cook?
I would consider myself a competent cook. I'm a recipe follower. Sometimes I come up with my own recipes, and occasionally it's been good, but not that tuna thing I made once. *shudder*
Happy weekend!
Fin.
