Classical: If you were an Olympian god, what would you be known for?
I would be the goddess of the sea, love, and peace.
Byzantine: Do you prefer gold or silver accessories?
I'm particular.
In order of preference, I like copper, then silver, then gold jewelry. Which means it makes no sense that I'm currently awaiting the arrival of a new septum ring and tragus ring, as well as two actual finger rings, in rose gold from Etsy.
Medieval: Are you religious?
I would say more "spiritual."
Gothic: What is your favourite historic building?
I've always been obsessed with the leaning tower of Pisa, so I guess it's that. I'm still surprised by how big it was when we were actually there in 2008, compared with how it had always looked to me in pictures. Super short!Renaissance: Have you ever had a time in your life when you felt enlightened or changed?
I've had moments when I've felt that way, yes, which is why it's truly odd to me right now that I can't think of what, exactly, they were and what happened. But of course, I think, there is always a higher plane one can reach.
Baroque: Do you enjoy the finer things in life?
Oh, you know, champagne taste and caviar dreams... beer budget... that whole thing.
Rococo: Is your bedroom full or trinkets and pictures? If so, which pictures adorn your walls?
This is not it, but I have some koi art that my sister-in-law gave me years ago. I love it. It is not actually on our walls at the moment. No pictures and trinkets, either. Our room has our bed, a little bit of other furniture - very little - and a shit ton of boxes. Still. Ugh. We haven't decided whether we're buying a house yet or staying put for the time being.
Neoclassicism: If something came back into fashion, what do you hope it would be?
Kindness
Romanticism: Do you often see things in a positive light?
I really try. And when I can't, I get there with the help of my therapist and EMDR. ;)
Pre-Raphaelite: Which book would you like to see turned into a film?
I know they've already done My Sister's Keeper, but I'm still annoyed by their treatment of it... and now I've gotten Chloë (my 17yo) to join me in that annoyedness! I'd love for them to redo it and do it right.
Impressionism: Do you look for details or take everything in at once?
I'm trained to take in all the details, but I prefer to be a "bigger picture" kind of person, so... both.
Art Nouveau: When were you last at the theatre?
I don't know. It's been a while. This probably wasn't even meant as the movie theater, but that was definitely the last type of theater in which I was. I've been trying to get out on a date with the hubs for weeks - months, maybe - to see Crazy Rich Asians, but even now that it's been at the dollar theater for a month, I haven't felt well enough to go. Maybe this week...
Surrealism: Why does the porcupine think it's a duck?
I dunno, who are we to judge?
Pop Art: Do you enjoy pop culture?
I'm not embarrassed to say I do. Okay, maybe a little sometimes...
Contemporary: What did you do today?
Well, I did a lot on Friday, came home and went out and did a lot more on Friday night, then stayed up all night and did a lot more on Saturday... so I'm not afraid to say I went to bed early (by force, people) last night and slept in past noon today with my doggos. I've been catching up on email, business-y stuff, doing this, and watching The Big Bang Theory, Bob's Burgers, and Young Sheldon ever since. I really should buy some groceries, though...

So about those groceries...!
Fin.
